San andreas how many gang territories

Each gang has its own territory, indicated by street warnings, wall graffiti, or simply violence. In Los Santos , 2 of the 4 gangs are split up into different 'sets'.

This is bad, because not all sets get along, and good, because there's always plenty of backup available. Winning territory involves gang war, and this must be done carefully. Enter the area you wish to control, and kill every opposition member in sight. The opposition attack in 3 waves to defend their land. Keep a close eye on the radar, and watch where the attackers are coming from. They may attack unexpectantly or in large numbers, so make sure you have a plentiful supply of health and armor before starting the war.

If possible, shoot from long distances or from rooftops. Sometimes cars will even turn up with gang members shooting out of the windows doing a drive-by. Survive the 3 waves, and the area is yours. That area is now highlighted green on the map. Other gangs may try and take your territory, and it's up to you to defend it. Gang wars and territory are introduced during Sweet 's mission Doberman.

After the mission The Green Sabre , CJ no longer has the ability to win new territory, or defend his own. The feature returns during the mission Home Coming , in the Final Missions strand.

Recruiting homies is done through a special command performed based on controls, such as Up on the D-pad whilst targeting a member PS3 , holding the RMB and pressing G PC , or aiming at a gang member and tapping the "recruit" button iOS.

CJ can recruit a maximum of 7 members at any given time. The maximum number of recruits depends on CJ's respect level. A Coach will hold all 7 members, an Ambulance will carry 6, whereas a typical car, boat, or aircraft will carry a maximum of 2 or 4.

Pressing Up on the D-pad while your homies are along will have them follow you. Your homies will return fire to those who attack you, and shoot at rival gang members and cops.

They will also participate in drive-by shootings, just like Sweet, Smoke and Ryder demonstrate in the mission ' Drive-By '. Don't depend on your homies too much as they aren't very reliable.

They can, however, draw fire away from CJ. On PS3, press L1 with the camera to have a picture taken with your homies. To disband the gang, hold Down on the D-pad for a few seconds, or simply abandon them. There is a cheat sjmahpe that allows you to recruit any pedestrian, and not just homies. The Seville Boulevard Families controlling only a small area in south-east Los Santos and the Temple Drive Families controlling western Los Santos territories have split from the Grove, so just because they're wearing green doesn't mean they are necessarily allies.

Whilst these events took place, Vagos and Ballas took over. Everyday, Grove Street gets weaker, and the Ballas get stronger. They are allies with the Varrios Los Aztecas. The families must re-unite if they are ever to rise again. Later in the game, they also take over Glen Park and Idlewood. Be ready to blast as you move through the next double doors, as there are two guards waiting for you.

Go through the next doors and waste the Ballas inside. Watch out for the guy behind the bar especially. Move to the open door on the end of the room, clean it out and step through the doors.

In the next area is a statue of Big Smoke. Kill those surrounding it and move down the hall, killing the fools ducking behind the columns.

Go into the left door and clean it out, sure to grab the Body Armor in the corner. Head through the opposite door to snag a Heart. Exit the room and move down the hall. Go through the next set of doors, and you'll be told to go get Big Smoke. Move up the steps and go through the doors.

In the cut scene, you'll see that Smoke is wearing body armor. When the scene concludes, you're going to have to take him out, so be aware of this fact and try to auto-aim at his head to cause more damage.

If you need weapons, there is a small alcove around the corner that is stocked with them and Body Armor. Duck behind the bar and clear out Smoke's bodyguards, and go to the room if you need extra weapons. There is another room upstairs that contains a Heart , so head up there if you need some healin'. Smoke will turn the lights off quickly once the fight begins. You can grab some thermal goggles in this room to help you Simply blast Smoke as he moves around the room, and stay crouched.

The Combat Shotgun works best for chewing through Smoke's health. He will run willy-nilly around the room, up and down the stairs.

Chase him as he does and bring him down! In the cut scene that follows, you'll say your last goodbyes to Smoke Before he escapes with the money from the drug empire, he torches the building, leaving you to find your own way out. At this point, turn on the Night Vision Goggles and grab the nearby goodies. You'll have to get out of dodge. Go through the double doors you entered through and make your way down the stairs. In the hallway below, blast through the goons and move on. When you reach Floor 2, it will be on fire.

Step through the doors and grab the Fire Extinguisher. Make sure you get the Heart in this room as well. Use the extinguisher on the right door and step onto the smoky catwalk. From this vantage, take down the guards in the room below. There are a lot of them, so keep moving your target around.

Extinguish any flames that block your path and go down into the room below. Head down the center aisle of the room and use the extinguisher on the fiery doors to exit. Blast your way through the next warehouse using the goggles, of course and keep fighting until you reach the first hallway. Extinguish the flames and battle through, going down the staircase to the indicated exit.

Kill the guys in the next room and get out! Once outside, Tenpenny will take off in the firetruck, as promised. Problem is, Sweet grabs on to the ladder as it's pulling away.

Get in a ride and follow that truck. Firebombs will be tossed at you don't mind them and a throng of cop cars will make your life difficult. Weave through the city, following Tenpenny's maniacal trajectory. Midway through the chase, one of the goons will try to loosen Sweet's grip on the ladder. Anyway, after completion, Sweet called me and said that before we can get Smoke, we need our reputation to be worth more than his money.

Basically, we need more Grove Street Territories. I been working on it for a little bit now. But how many territories do I need to have before I can do Sweet's next mission? Everytime I try, it says to take over more territories around Los Santos.

User Info: hotbigtoad. Top Voted Answer. Take over a minimum of 20 territories I guess User Info: RiotViper
