A typical day at work starts with getting rid of leaves and trash at the park with a leave blower. Funderland gave me the opportunity to learn new skills like customer service, team work, safety, courtesy and fun that will serve me well in the future.

Funderland is a great place to work while attending school because everyone enjoys making sure the kids have fun. Pros great atmoshpere, great coworkers, great rides. Cons no cons. I enjoyed working on the ice rink in funderland, the rink was profitable but the correct maintence wasn't carried out on it, this was mainly due to the "DIY Culture" that exists with Irish Showmen but it was safe and very much skate able.

Management was nice and everyone was put through the books. Wages are the best I have ever had on any Funfair or Circus but are still very low compared to other jobs.

Work life itself was enjoyable and their was a good social aspect to the job. Although their is no real advancement in the industry unless you are born or marry into it and even at that it is still very hard to make money, due to rising insurance costs, expenses and idiots in the industry who call themselves "Showmen" but are really cowboys.

But I'm glad to say I didn't come across any cowboys in Funderland and very much enjoyed my time with them. Pros discounted entrance fees. Cons working on a open top rink. Yes No. I learned to appreciate more of the what entertainment sector do to serve us our entertainment. Incredible bunch of people. Though It wasn't easy at times, the people really helped to get you though it.

Pros Meeting new amazing people, free coffee and discounted lunches. Cons On your feet all day for long hours. Very demanding. Very demanding. The management were more than nice to me they talked me through everything i needed to know and helped me when ever i needed them. Workplace culture was very friendly and very outgoing as it was theme park where you are supposed to have fun.

The hardest part of the job was when it got really busy there was only 4 ticket desks and there would be hundreds of people queuing up so it put a lot of pressure on us to make sure we weren't to slow and get everything done right. Most enjoyable part of the job was when we were finished we got to use the theme park for free. Cons long hours Yes There are 2 helpful reviews 2 No.

Was good working there very low pay, got to meet new people and interact with people and learned new skills that I can use in future jobs but not good pay. Pros Good experience.

Cons Low pay. Rate your recent company Share your experience to help others. Funderland is a funfair which does seasonal routes around Ireland.
